Praia Fluvial de Oleiros

The first River Beach (Praia Fluvial) we visited in Portugal was a delightful experience. The children thoroughly enjoyed the free swimming. To our surprise, there were two lifeguards present. We did not expect this at a river beach.

Our campsite was just a 2-minute walk from the Praia Fluvial and was equipped with a playground, restaurant, bar, warm showers, and a BBQ that guests could use for free.

The Portuguese didn’t use charcoal but rather pinecones and other gathered wood. Around 6 PM, the BBQ was lit and used continuously until 11:30 PM. It became a gathering place for chatting with local tourists, creating a wonderfully cozy atmosphere.
